Food for thought...

Consider the following quote, to which Greg Kokul at Stand To Reason responds. Greg is responding to a common attitude people have toward truth. This attitude is called relativism.

In other words, truth is just a matter of opinion, and since everybody has their own opinion, opinions are mere opinions and there is something wrong with you if you think what you believe is more than just your mere opinion. If you think that Jesus is really God, and He really is the Savior of the world, and all must really believe in Him, and the Bible is really His word, then your opinion is not a good one because it's not inclusive of all the other religions.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Is truth ever a matter of "mere opinion"? Is truth not valid just because it doesn't treat false ideaologies with kid gloves?

How often do you hear statements like this in a day? Do you even notice anymore?

I want to challenge you to do two things.

1.) Watch any talk show (not Maury Povich, but rather something like Larry King or Bill O'Riley) and notice how many times this idea of relativism comes up.

2.) Read the article associated with the quote above and start demonstrating the integrity of truth in your thought, your speech, and your actions.

If you are interested in more resources on thought, truth and defending your Christian faith with integrity, all in a format that is easy to understand, check out Greg Kokul's website http://www.str.org/, or better yet, download their weekly podcast of the call in radio show called Stand To Reason.
