Well, I made it here. Bumpy ride as we landed last night. Arrived too late to exchange money and were starving. Darn airlines don’t serve food anymore… geez. So Mike Glick from CAM picked us up and took us to SETECA, the seminary where we are staying. After arriving, we told him we hadn’t eaten, so he took us to McDonalds. J You know, even though the Double Cheeseburger is called a Quesoburgesa Doble, it still tastes the same in Spanish! Como se dice “yummy” en espanol?
We are getting ready to go back out with Mike whenever he decides to come pick us up. I am preparing my sermon to deliver in Spanish at our World Orphans project church on Sunday morning and Sunday night! I get to preach 2x, not only in Guatemala, but also in Spanish! Please pray for me that I do well in remembering my Spanish and I deliver the Word with confidence and glorify God by preaching the true gospel!
I found out from the Guest Services guy, Tito, here at the seminary, that living in Antigua (my favorite place in Guatemala) costs about $500 / mo. That was encouraging news to me – affordable. Plus, moving to a place I love already, and am familiar with will make my move much easier.
Let's see what happens today!
