Currently I am in Monument, CO. I just finished our annual meeting with World Orphans , at the home office here in Monument. The staff & missionaries gathered for a time of updates, vision casting, and prayer for the next year's projects. There's a lot going on in the organization in 2008.
Billy Ray & family are going to be heading out to Iraq this summer. I will be moving to Guatemala in the fall. Our regional US offices are building relationships with American churches who have a heart for the Orphans of the world. Most importantly, we are being obedient to the Biblical mandate to care for the least, the last and the lost... to take care of the widow and the orphan in the time of their distress (James 1:27 ). This weekend brought new ideas, a time of refreshment and focus on what the rest of the year will bring. For now though, I am headed just west of the highway to Missionary Training International for 3 weeks of missionary training. I can't think of a better place to prepare for God's service than at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in God's country! I have been away from my friends and home now for a while and am feeling the distance a little. I absolutely love teaching my Sunday school class at my home church in Rockwall, TX. It's this separation that helps remind me the extreme value of the blessed relationships the Lord has brought in about in my life. I have placed some photos in the photo album here , and on Face Book , as well as My Space , so please feel free to have a look at where I have been, and what I have been up to.
